Function 360 Physiotherapy

With a natural passion for health and the complexity of the human body I knew that I wanted to work in health care. My enthusiasm for physical fitness and sport lead me to become more curious about the functional intricate human body. I wondered how the body worked. I wondered why injuries occurred and what caused physical pain.

I was brought up and schooled in Malta. I spent 3 years at Oxford Brookes University undertaking a degree in Physiotherapy. Once I graduated I returned to Malta, where I worked as a musculoskeletal  outpatient physiotherapist privately.

Clinical experience provoked more thought and questions, so I decided to further develop my studies. I enrolled in a Masters degree at the London Metropolitan University. I spent a year studying functional rehabilitation and therapy in sports. It was amazing – combining two of my greatest passions together – the functional human body and sport!

I started to answer some of my questions – How does the body work as one functional unit? Why does one get injured? How does one prevent injury and reduce pain? How does one recover from injury and prevent re-injury? How does one optimise their physical performance?

My qualifications:

– BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy

– MSc(Hons) Sports Rehabilitation and Therapy

– Level 3 Sports Massage Diploma

– Kinesio Taping

– Advanced McConnell Concept Certified

– Stage 5 Manipulation

– APPI Matwork Pilates Level 1

– Spinal Manipulation and Mobilisation Masterclass

– Acupuncture/Dry-Needling

What is Function360?

Function360 treats a variety of patients, ranging from the sedentary office worker to elite athletes, both injured and uninjured.

We were all given a body. We all want to minimise our risk of injury. Most of all, we all want to limit the amount of pain we experience throughout our life.

Function360 believes that everybody is the same, but different. We look at each patient as an individual functional unit. We assess each individual as an individual. We asses and analyse. We observe and test. We look for symmetry and asymmetry. We look for muscle balance and imbalance. We look at functional movement. We analyse posture. We consider jobs, hobbies and sport. We recognise risk of injury and work to prevent it. We diagnose current injury and work towards solving it.

Our aim is to find the best way to make your body your own performance innovation centre through individualised treatment and rehabilitation.
